Last year, a 2211 sold on eBay for about $700.  So, unless that book was originally dug up along with the Dead Sea Scrolls, it's safe to assume that you got the better part of the deal!  Congratulations, it is indeed a very rare and desirable phone.

The book at that time was worth about $100.00 .It had lots of Sumter telephones illistrated and a good section on the old 3 wire Strowger system.

THat is s nice example to have. 2211's are very hard to find.

I had a black 2211 years ago. When I bought it I had trouble deciding between a green 211 and the 2211.


I sold it years ago and have had some regret on getting rid of it. I think I sold it high for close to $200 delivered.
