Sorry about that yes, I will send a photo. I always was told (3 times) that if you hook up the extra wire it improves sound quality?

Connecting the yellow in the line cord serves no purpose other than perhaps providing some strain relief. In fact, it can cause problems on some lines where the yellow and black pair are used for other purposes.
