Hello,

I am not a telephone expert and I am trying to connect a Northern electric telephone (I don't know what the model is) to a ringer box. When plugged the ringer box works, but now I want to connect the phone to it. Could anyone tell me which wire goes where?

Thanks in advance,

Hugo

P.S. I apologise for the quality of the photos, if needed I can take more.

The phone is a 202A-3F and  would connect as follows:
Red to R
Green to GN
Yellow to L2-Y
Black to BK

I believe that's a  684-BX bell box. The capacitor that goes under the bracket is missing, but if you can't find an original, you can use a 2 microfarad off-the-shelf capacitor. It would connect between BK and C. Someone has already added a replacement ringing capacitor (between K and L2-Y).

Here is a diagram of the subset and picture of a complete set.
