The flanged version of this sign is common, the flat one is harder to find.  I prefer flat signs-they are easier to display than the flanged versions.  This one has a few issues but the price was right.

Cleaned up nicely.  The "dirt" was most likely some sort of bird dropping.  I soaked it in warm water with dish-washing soap and scrubbed it with a 3-M pad.  I spot cleaned the stains with baking soda and water.  The surface of the sign where the dirt is is degraded.  The shine is off the porcelain and it is pitted/rough.  Ammonia will damage a sign, and bird droppings contain ammonia.
