Hell, for about $30.00 there's gotta be something to it I can use.  :-)
George.....It has an Automatic Electric dial on it and the shipping is outrageous. Just what are "condition issues?" I think you can do better for a untested phone.  Welcome to the Forum.....Doug

And George, in the future you can shorten the eBay link down to this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/110978648093

by deleting the " Western-Electric-telephone-/ " before the item number

and the

" ?nma=true&si=3Bj%2F%2Fze92%2FfX9DKDGZLmkZt4qSM%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 "

after the item number.

Yes as soon as you see itm/ cut off everything after the forward slash except for the ebay number itself. We have had problems in the past on the forum with extremely long links.

One other thing we like to do is post a picture and possibly some of the wording from the ebaY listing if appropriate as anyone reading through old posts after a couple of months wont be be able to click the ebay link for more info as it goes dead.

Thank you for the help, and especially thank you for taking it easy on the clumsy new guy.

We are pretty easy going around here. Just check the amount of "off topic" posts!

Update:

Dial is hopeless.  :-)

F1 cleaned up nicely, and so did the housing.  Leather feet are okay.  Parts mounted to base are cleaner than expected...but that doesn't mean they all work.

AE dials are usually easy to repair.  What is wrong with it?  The parts in 302s almost always work unless something traumatic has happened to them.

It's fairly wrecked.  :-)  It doesn't return at all.  Although I'm a complete noobie, I've already discovered on another 302 that pulse timing is a little more complicated than I thought and I think that when the time comes I'll use one of my spare dials on this phone instead of trying to fix it.

After some reworking, this cheap thing will work to answer calls.  Used a solid 302 as a template for wiring it.

I just need to put a new dial on it when the time comes to fix it.

This new hobby is going to turn into a deadly waste of time.

But...it is still cheaper than the cars are!  :-)

The dial may just be dirty.  Often a good cleaning is all that a dial needs.  You can send dials for cheap repairs to Steve Hilsz (http://phonesurplus.com/).
