Autopsy of a $10 junk telephone from Wal-Mart that only Lasted a month

I currently don't have any of my telephones in my collection hooked up for various reasons and am using modern telephone equipment. I bought a telephone from Wal-Mart to use after my Cordless died and it lasted a little over a month before it wouldn't ring (well beep) anymore.
