I would think that a hard-core handset collector would be willing to pay a price for this handset.  It must be quite rare.

Getting a proper handset to match that phone should not be difficult.  I expect that a forum member or two have one to spare.

Here are the pictures of the inside of the handset. I found no markings or moldings of any kind inside the handset. Handset appears to be seamless without any evidence of alteration.

Thanks for the photos. As for me, first time I've seen the insides of a near date matching first stamped 5-70 555B that was modified/refurbed in 75 with a new dial. That line switching front switch is interesting as well. From my point of view a rather unique phone in that I haven't seen it before and only two hits on the forum (first one not included, no pictures and dead internal link)

As Larry said, that handset may be worth more than enough money to pay for the phone and a new handset - don't know, just saying that sounds right.
