I want to restore my 1960 Signal Corps phone. I need to replace the later dated parts with 1960 stuff. I'd like for it to have clear hookswitch plungers and fingerwheel. The base, network, ringer, and handset cord are all 1960. I know I'll need a dial, handset, both elements, and a wall cord. Are there any other dated parts I need to know about? Is either the G1 or G3 handset correct?

It sounds like you have all of your bases covered.

Black sets had a G-1 handset up through about '63, based on what I've seen in my own telephones, so this is what I would look for personally.

So I need a correctly dated G1 w/caps and both elements. How about the dial? I'd assume it should be a 7D, am I right?
