New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Just listed in a 7 day auction with no reserve and starting at $9.99 is a Western Electric 102 with a B1 mount and 634 subset. The phone has been restored and is in working condition. Within the first hour of being listed, the auction attracted 2 bidder driving the price up to $34.33. As always, I'm sure this will increase but by how much. So, once again, the question is who will offer a guess closest to the winning bid when the auction ends?

NOTE: we will use a $5 gap rule between guesses again to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. That would be about a 2% gap for this phone and it makes it easier to place your guesses.

The seller listed it as an "MAGNIFICENT Western Electric B1 Mounting / Model 102 Telephone - WORKING" with the item condition as "Used" and "Beautifully restored example of a Western Electric B1 mounting, commonly known as a Model 102. The outstanding E1 handset is the early, seamless variety, and sports a working, "Bullet" transmitter, dated Jan-32. The restored 634 subset is just about mint, and works as it should. Original cordage provides the "finishing touch"." with the auction listing description saying simply "Fully Operational -- WESTERN ELECTRIC B1 MOUNTING - MODEL 102 DESK SET -- mated with a fully restored, working -- Western Electric 634 Subset/Ringer Box."
