Ebay 500H Mushroom - modified.... :(

Here's the 2nd 500H I've seen for sale recently.  The H is the first version of the dial-light "Mushroom" phone introduced in'54, and replaced by the "P" version in '55.  This one has the original cap, but both cords are replacements, and then there are the two very unfortunate holes in the front of the shell.  BIN is high also at $550 + ship.  The last one sold for $449, and also had replaced cords.

I bet our "Tenite Expert" Chuck Hensley could repair it!

From the description, "Also features the extra bottom push button and on/off toggle switch.", it could be said that one person's feature is another person's disappointment. Won't sell at the BIN but maybe a reasonable offer might take it home.
