This is my other find this week.

My friend Greg tells me it is a Manhattan Pony.
I cannot find any information on a Manhattan Pony.

Can someone provide more information?
Is this a Frankenphone?
What is not original?
Besides the handset and door latch, what other parts are missing?
Can someone post a photo of the correct handset?
Am I dreaming to think I can find a handset?

Thanks, Russ

I don't know what that is but, it a very handsome piece. I also wonder what the handset looks like.

Nice find!

I understand that handset is a Manhattan long pole.

I think you mean "receiver" rather than "handset."

It's true that old time Bell techs used "receiver" and "receiver cord" to mean "handset" and "handset cord", respectively. But I have never heard a long pole receiver called a handset.

Nice looking box.  Insides are Manhattan, however the transmitter is Viaduct.  Interesting mix of parts.
