I have several junk receiver cords that use pin terminals, and a few NOS and Phoneworks replica spade-to spade receiver cords.  Is there any way to swap them out?

the hard part is to solder the wire to the insides of the terminals, due to the fact that the "wires" inside the cloth cords are really tinsel wrapped aroung a string for flexibility.  The way I have seen it done, and I have also done it, is to bare about a quarter to half inch of the tinsel wire, and then use some very fine wire, wrap the tinsel with the fine wire to give it support.  When I say fine wire, I mean super-fine.  Then solder this wrapped tip for rigidity.

Then you need to empty out the soldered portion of the back of the tip and clean out all solder and other stuff from the old wire.

Inser the new wire tip into the sleeve of the tip and solder.
