How simple is it possible to make a relible dial?

Not sure of make, but the dial looks German.
I have put on some numbers:
1: The contact shortening the receiver when dialling.
2: The pulse contacts.
3: The gear
4: Centrifugal brake, but it is nothing making friction, the only thing is greater radius for the weights.

And, yes it works!

It's marked SEL which stands for Standard Electric Lorenz so it indeed appears to be German.
I've seen this one and similar ones before and wondered how long they would last...
