Strange Ringer

I saw an auction for a strange looking ringer this morning. See attached picture. I am working and I got interrupted by a customer and when I went back to look at it, it was gone! I could not find the listing. Checked completed listings also, just gone! Did anyone else see it? Can anyone identify it?

I don't think that that is a ringer.  That housing was used for Interphone speakers, so i would guess that this thing is a speaker of some sort.

Yes Larry is correct, it's an interphone for Western system. You don't see those very often at all.
