We join our next contest auction well under way, but with plenty of time left.  The time around we have a beautiful clear Western Electric 554 wall telephone.  It's apparently new in the box, although, oddly, it has a white cord.  At any rate, it's a beaut!

What's it going to bring?  Get your guesses in before the auction's final day!

Do the numbers on the back refer to a date? (77356) ???

Dan/Panther

I don't particularily care for the vintage, and it being modular.
I'll say someone will pay.....
$620.00 for it.

$425.  I was very interested when the bid was still ten bucks!

Dennis Markham

I will GUESS $437.48

It does look like a later phone based upon the later #9 dial and the yellow coil on the ringer assembly.  I'm surprised it has a chrome hook.

Dan

261.61 and worth every cent. Looks like it is a 1977. The color code for transparent is 29, it would be interesting if this is marked somewhere on the phone

Ellen

I like that the alphanumerics are clear also.  I think $758.
