Bell sign - real or repro?

This is the info given:

* Raised letters and raised Bell (these have been pressed from the underside).
* Measures approximately 11 inches square. (28cm).

Is this real or a repro? If real, where would it have been displayed?

Seller wants $85 ish.

That's a really nice sign.
To me it looks genuinely old, but I'm no expert on these things.
A pressed sign is a lot more cost and effort to make than a flat one, so you'd need to be sure of a lot of sales if you were reproducing these. The various paint marks around the edge suggest some age too.

Hopefully more learned members from across the pond will be able to give you a more definitive answer.

Without holding it it sure looks like a repro pressed aluminum sign to me. Letters look raised. Just my humble opinion....Doug

I agree with Doug. I think they only used that emblem on flat porcelain signs. You may be able to find a new example for $20-30 on Ebay.
