I recently emailed Dennis Hallworth about recovering a few W. E. candlestick telephone bottom plates. He informed me that he is no longer accepting work. Is there anyone else performing this service? Any help is greatly appreciated. Bill

Thanks for adding that link Gary. An easy to follow step by step guide.

Recovering bases isn't difficult, I use a fleecy/felt fabric, but I like the idea to recycle old leather. A tip which I'll be following up on.  :)

I find beat up suede coats at yard sales. Cheaper the coat the thinner the suede is makes it perfect to recover the base. If its too thick, you cannot use it....Doug
