This is a follow on concerning the face standard set.

These were manufactured in Milan by the Italian arm of ITT. It would appear that these phones were manufactured for several countries as this one came from France and had the typical French lettering on the dial. There are obvious differences between the American 500 and this one, the dial is totally different and the network is numbered with nothing which corresponds to any of the others. L1 and 2 refer to the tip and ring and is often found on European phones. The transmitter is similar to the American ones, but the receiver is obviously based on the one fitted to the British 706 type.

Hope that this further information is of use.

It is interesting to note that this company also made a Princess look alike, but I don't think that there is a light in it and also the starlite models were available in both dial and pushbutton versions. They are obviously different inside as both the case and base are slightly at variance to the original.

Hopefully I will try and pick up and example of both of these phones and post pics in due course.

In the meantime see the attached pics of this phone.

Wishing everyone a happy New year and good hunting

Thanks, Migette.  This is the first time I've seen this particular phone.
