Are straight rubber handset cords available?

Does anyone carry straight rubber handset cords? Didn't see any at Old Phone Works, except one NOS. And that's probably the only one.

OTherwise I guess I'll hve to find three conductor wire and make one, if I can find something apropriate.

Line cordage can be used to make straight handset cords, plus or minus the pesky strain relief grommets at the handset end.  One possible source of those grommets is to harvest them (and the strain relief for the base) from handset cords that are beyond any chance of being reconditioned.  The trick with that is to match the colors correctly.
