does anyone have any modular jack parts you have extras of? I'm looking for some 623-P6 modular jacks that were available for the princess telephones for conversion to the 1A1/1A2 system. these were 6 wire jacks. I was able to get some of these for the 228 wall adapter for the 354-554-558 phones... but the design won't work on the princess...(different style) if no one has these then I'll just go back to the hardwired line cords....

John   ....   They're available for purchase from a number of online retailers / sources.        Just Google "623P6".     One of the web sites I looked at was " www.mouser.com ".     Enter " 623P6 " in the search box at the top of the page, and it will bring up the web page on that jack.      There's a small "Adobe pdf" icon in the initial description box that will bring up the full specifications on that particular jack.

You may also be able to add the 2 additional wires needed by "robbing" them from broken 623P4s. Of course, the wire colors won't be blue and white. If you need broken  623P4s or 616!P for donor parts, Sonny has about 100 of each as found on lease returns from AT&T Service Center.

By definition, the 623s are all 6 position -- 6 slots for the gold pins -- whether they have 2, 3, 4, or 6 wires present (623D2, 23D3, 623D4, 623D6, etc.). So additional leads can be added if desired.

Do these have spade tips?
Where can you buy spade tips small enough for these "skinny" wires?
Note that they are $1.19 each.>
The standard 623P4s are $1.96 each. Sometimes, "less is more." Maybe because they have  >800 P6s in stock, but only 13 623p4.

It doesn't appear that they have spade connectors installed.      However Radio Shack sell them in packages of 24 @ $2.49.    www.mouser.com was just the first web site that popped up when I did the initial search.       There are probably more online sources for this particular product.       A full search may also turn up sellers offering a better price.

Sorry, mistake in my last post.      The Radio Shack spade connector I mentioned, fits 22 to 26 AWG wire, not 24 to 26 AWG as I stated.

Jeff, Thank you. R/S is out of business.... they have closed all their stores in my area, and the spade connector you mentioned is out of stock online. this is the one I normally use on my phone projects, I'm having to go through OPW for the spade connectors now. anyway, I'll look through mouser. I found the part, and at $1.19 each, I bought a dozen of them. wonder I also found, but am not sure about a self piercing spade for the telephones, but the drawing is too general and I'm reluctant to buy them, do you know anything about them?  thank you for the link.

I got the jacks today, just a note to all of you.... these come tinned, not spaded. I was surprised that they didn't have the spades on them... I guess I'm used to the old bell parts. anyway, they fit the princess 702BM just fine and the wires are long enough to spade and they reach all the terminals. If I had to use this on a 564 or other phone I might have to add some wire... these will work just fine for what I need them for. I ordered a dozen of them so I won't run out later....
