Closing gaps between NT Contempra handset halves

I recently had a turquoise tone NT Contempra that had a noticeable gap between the upper and lower shell at the receiver end....

I found that by gradually bending the metal dial brackets, and checking the fit, you can close the gap up on the Digitone NT Contempra
handset that occurs through use and wear when you reassemble the handset.

I personally, are a fan of the Contempra... The only thing I wish I had now for them was the special handset cord plug and crimper they used on the modular corded version(s)
