Transatlantic cousin?

Sure looks like it.

The WE looks like it has a 1C2 type "flipper" hook, on the GPO one the hook is the button top centre which the u shaped bracket forces the handset to depress, not as elegant as WE IMHO. I have dial version of this too, nicely chromed, must fit a bracket in the garden now the weather is better!

"now this should take five minutes, where's me screwdriver went now..?"

Dennis Markham

Yea, that's what I meant, Paul, 526.  :)  Thanks.

I love that alcove as well.  I see them come up on ebay for reasonable prices.  I somehow think my landlord would be a tad peeved if I put it in the wall tho.  Especially when I removed it and took it with me when I moved.  Hole?  ???  What hole ? ;D

Dan/Panther

Bwanna;
Is the bottom of the Alcove where the subset was located ?

that's what i am guessing, dan. it is the right size. still attached is a ceramic termination block with cloth insulated wire  attached. there is a small hole in the shelf for the line cord to pass thru. i am anxious to get this cleaned up & installed. i think it will go in the dining room. still haven't decided which phone to put in it. a guy with you talent could easily build one of these. i will give you the dimensions if you like.

just4...a little spackle....the landlord will never notice ::)

The subset goes underneath. Phone club guys have reproed these in the past. I suspect this is real and a nice find at a nice price.

Good find Bwanna,
Jim

D/P would happily install this for you for a smile (he is kinda sappy that way)

Bwanna;
Please send dimensions, I was thinking the same thing as you. I have some spare oak 1"X6"'s I need to find a good use for.

I'm not certain of the rules on this forum, but....are you allowed to ask a girl her dimensions?
