I probably didn't get a bargain on this ($65 plus shipping).  I cannot find much information about these.

Nice phone!

You can find some basic info in the AE 4055 catalog (1934) in the TCI Library.

Thank you.  below is a picture of the rear of the phone.  Since it appears to have an induction coil, I would guess that this is a type 3 and not type 13, as described in the catalog.

I don't think that these appear very often.  I am anxious to receive the phone.  If only I had somewhere to mount it (along with a dozen other homeless wall phones).  It would make a nice companion to my AE21 wall phone.

I just received the bill for shipping this phone (from Mo to MI): $25.80 :o.  I can't imagine how much it would have been if they had actually packed it well.  I assume that Brinybay's bill for destroying his Leich beehive is similar.  I will probably stay away from this auctioneer in the future.
