Some independent Canadian telcos used British switches, so they equipped their phones with GPO dials.  I have an NE Uniphone with a GPO dial.  I also bought a smashed Phillips AE40 a while back for parts which included a good GPO dial.  I later transplanted that dial into my NE Uniphone No. 2 wall phone which came to me with an inappropriate dial.

The quickest way to tell the difference between a GPO dial made for Canada and one for the UK is to look at the letters above the '6' and the '0' on the plate.

........so the canadian dials have -

MNO    &       QZ
  6             operator
                     0

...... & the british ones have -

MN      &      OQ
6                 0

interesting, as US dials seem always to omit 'Q' ; UK ones to omit 'Z'.......... it seems canada found a 'third way.'

Outstanding collection and display! I'm just wondering how you got away with displaying phones in the living room around the fire place.

No wife!  Nipped that problem in the bud many years ago.

Now, that there really tickled my funny-bone!!! Happily Divorced since '85.

Old-timers used to tell me when I was just a wee hillbilly young'un: "Now, Bones, jest you remember this; don'choo  nivver git hit bah th' same train twicet, boy!"

Sometimes, one finds great sagacity, even very near a still.

What a wonderful collection of phones you have! Making me seriously consider giving up, and maybe taking up another hobby, lol! ;)

Thanks for sharing, gives us all ideas how to consolidate / display our collection.

Best regards!

Astounding!  Like a museum.  Very impressive.

Bones,  I like your comment about finding wisdom, even very near a still.
