While waiting for the ensuing tropical storm (if you believe what the media says!!), I thought I'd get the Blitzortung app running on my Galaxy Tab, and wanted to sit it somewhere, and what better than the cradle of my manual 706, it's the perfect ange to hold the tab in place, has a nice gap to have the power cable connected, and is high enough to see all around my room... ;D

Though I'm noticing a lack of biblical lightning storms as predicted and over-hyped by the weathermen...

Does it depress the switch-hooks or do you have a Permanent Glow?

Perhaps an interface to ring the phone bells when a storm approaches would be nice.

Some party lines used to do that anyway  ;D

It's permanently off hook, though it's not hooked up to anything so no lines or extensions are tied up... :)

I did think about having an interface like that, but, I wouldn't know where to begin, it'd be fun having it ring a phone and then announce over the line that a storm's on it's way...  ;D
