New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

NOTE: This is a short contest. There are just under 3 days left in the auction so that leaves just under 2 days to get your guesses in.

Listed two days ago in a 5 day auction with no reserve is, what appears to be . . .

from the forum discussion of this item at:

     http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=13026.0

. . . a "missing link" between the "Shmoo" and the production telephone known as the "Trimline". The listing started at $10 and is now up to $162.50 by way of 3 bidders offering 5 bids. This phone is being discussed in its own topic on the forum at the above link so, once again, place your guesses here and discuss the phone at the above link. So, with that said, once again, who knows best what this phone will sell for when the bidding ends?

The seller listed it as an "DATED 1960s PRINCESS STYLE WALL LAND LINE ROTARY TELEPHONE VERY UNUSUAL DESIGN" with the item condition as "Used" and "EXTREMELY UNUSUAL DESIGN, PRINCESS STYLE, LAND LINE, ROTARY TELEPHONE... Clean... dial rotates and returns smoothly... read listing and view photos for details..." with the auction listing description as "A VERY UNUSUAL DESIGNED, PRINCESS LIKE, ROTARY, WALL HUNG, LAND LINE TELEPHONE DATED OCTOBER 1960. NO CRACKS, CHIPS OR DINGS IN THE TELEPHONE BODY. IAL ROTATES AND RETURNS SMOOTHLY. UNMARKED AS TO THE MANUFACTURER. WE HAVE NEVER BEFORE SEEN THIS STYLE TELEPHONE AND HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND A SIMILAR MODEL ONLINE. THERE IS NO PLUG BUT THERE ARE THE STANDARD 4 WIRES (RED, GREEN, YELLOW and BLACK) EACH WITH A U CLIP ATTACHED. THE TELEPHONE HAS NOT BEEN TESTED AND IS BEING OFFERED AS FOUND, AS SHOWN AND AS IS. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PHONE, PLEASE LET US KNOW."

NOTE: we will use a 5% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 10+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered.

It's another chance to move up a rung or to get onto the CRPF -> Contest Standings <- list,

. . . for as twocvbloke said,   ---> "You gotta be in it to win it !!!" ;D "
