So we are all familiar with brown (dash 9) cords on WE and NE black phones. What about the other colors? Apparently, not all colored phones had exact matching colors either. What color were the cords for statuary bronze 202s?

The #9 WE catalog from 1935 shows 8 colors for handsets, dials, and handset mountings (for 200 series phones), yet only 5 colors for cords:

Cords weren't the only thing that weren't always exact matches. There were also the baseplates:

This table from 1941 shows, for example,  that black (felt) was used only on base plates of oxidized silver and pekin red handset mountings:

The colored masks listed in the 1941 BSP above were used to cover the black background on station number cards such as the Form E1163 and E1164.

In 1934, instead of masks, cards in different colors were used:

Number Card:                       Apparatus Color:
E1263-4                                Ivory [-4]

Mystery solved, thanks to a recently acquired BSP: Section C36.101, Issue 2, 7-25-35, Station Cords, All Types.

Dark Gold                             --12                          --11 Gold

Note that in 1935, oxidized silver (-8) phones had gray (-5) cords. By 1939, they had matching silver (-8) cords.
"Medium Gold" and "Gray" set colors did not carry over for 302s. Dark Brown (-10) cords and -11 cords were also discontinued. 302s painted statuary bronze or old brass had -9 "regular brown" cords, and dark gold 302s had matching -12 cords.
