62 Year Old Lionel Train Set Info Needed

Would any of you train collectors have any idea about this Lionel Train set.. Everything was tested and it works.

The gentleman who sold it said he was 70 and got the train set when he was 8.

The Engine feels like a Candlestick, it is that heavy. The cars are metal.

Any info is greatly appreciated....Doug

You have a mixture of Lionel and Marx  train cars. they would have not been sold as a set that way.Still a nice find.Marx teens to be not as desirable to some collectors as Lionel.

checkout www.townandcountryhobbies.com for accessories. they might have information about the train too... I just use them as a source for 14 and 18 volt Christmas lights...
