Did anybody else see this auction?  Am I missing something, or is this just an insane amount for 5 cards?

Wow, you really went out of your way to help out another member who seems to have found out it's easy to take advantage of a GM by just posting links. Without supporting images to a post or reply, especially that many, it would be more prudent to simply delete the reply since the eBay links will go dead in a month or so (requiring more effort to first find the link is dead and then modify the post/reply to indicate the link(s) are dead.

Time has a cost and in this case it's not yours to pay.

Sorry John, I was giving the Forum some info. No good deed goes unpunished.

It did take a lot of time to copy and post 12 links. I do work full time.....Doug

A thank you to FABphones would have been more appropriate than a defensive apology to me.

No apology intended.  Just delete if it is not done properly. Again, no good deed goes unpunished....Doug

That is definitely insane prices for cards.  It almost makes you consider stripping your collection and selling the originals and using reproduction.

A new record?

Certainly more than I would be willing to pay for a dial card.

———-

Seller feedback shows all cards (as previously discussed so far) were purchased by the one buyer (same buyer name and identical feedback text for every dial card).

*At time of posting, seller has listed and sold a further 9 dial cards since the $102.50 card above. Selling prices were between $19 - $51 per card.

The two most expensive cards ($51 / $102.50) each have a larger "bold" four digit number. Difficult to tell from images but each may also have the perforation.

Perhaps this is a factor in their higher bids.

$102 for a dial card!! I would be wanting a very nice phone attached to it.  :o
