An early 302 in very nice condition just appeared on Etsy for a very reasonable price: link.

What year do we think this may be, 1937/38? Can't see any vents (or stamp by mouse hole) to rear.

I believe that it is around 1938.  As I think I recall, the earliest ones had only the one big bump on the bottom for the ringer, and the 1937 version had the one extra small rectangular bump.  There have been discussions with pictures on the forum about the bottom design changes.

I think this is 39, as the 1938 base plate did not have the square bump, nor did the early 39 base plates.
