"The Capeharts have collected many unique items for their home for the past 40 years as well as the Capehart's collection of items related to the telephone communication industry, specifically those pertaining to Western Electric and the Bell System.   This unique collection is housed in a mid century building warehouse that was originally for Coca Cola Bottling in Corsicana, TX.   Mr. Capehart worked for Western Electric for many decades.  As stated on their website this collection began  'in 1984, the collection has grown into one of the nation's largest privately owned museums of its kind. Western Electric was the manufacturing arm of the Bell System. From sewing machines to switches, telephone booths  -- the Capehart Collection contains examples of many items manufactured by the Western Electric Company through the years. It also includes artifacts, documents, and memorabilia from Bell Labs and AT&T."      Mr. Capehart was stationed in Midland, TX and as well as in New York State while having to travel all over for his job.   This is why this collection is so diverse."
