Wow,

If I was that seller I would have wondered if it was a dream. I'm guessing the seller would have listed it around 100 to start of if it was in better shape.

I guess it goes to show condition isn't everything when its a rare (am I right) item.

I recall a clear 302, real deal, that went up on eBay three or four years ago.

The seller bought it at a garage sale or similar.   She listed it for $9.99.   Had no idea what it was.   It brought over three grand, I think.

Hopefully she took a nice little vacation somewhere after she recovered from the shock.   I enjoy seeing those situations come along.   I can't play in that price league, but it's great to see someone who needs the money get the nice little windfall.

The "San Francisco" potbelly that was the subject of a recent auction contest started at $9.99 if I recall.  The seller found it at an estate sale in a box of lamp parts.

The Blake transmitter in another auction contest was found by a guy demolishing buildings.  He had no idea what it was.
