Very nice phone, I have what I beleive is a light gray 554, but is badly yellowed. The color code is light gray and the inside looks light gray. But I digress, wish mine was this nice. Superb phone!
this guy uses new old stock shells and puts them on old phone bodies. They aren't true numbers matching phones. I bought a turquoise 544 kit from him and spruced mine up. Quality was 1st rate, but it isn;'t ORIGINAL.
I think I e-mailed him once about the manufacturer. I believe they are Stromberg-Carlson.
