TelePlay

Seller called this TP-6-A a "Vintage Signal Corps US Army Rotary Phone" which it is but I don't think the Army used masking tape to stripe it red. And why the external ringer? Army didn't use frequency or harmonic ringers, did they? Or 20 PPS dials, did they? Doesn't look like a metal housing (embossed lettering) so no chrome for this one.

Anyway, nice price for two items if you have paint stripper and some spare time and some spare cords and . . .

It's a Army phone....That's obviously "War Paint"....Duh... ;)

Camouflage tape!

Insert generic Jeff Foxworthy "you might be a redneck" joke here...

Am I the only one tempted to get an ugly-fied phone just for the heck of it? Certainly would make my others look better by association.

That would make for a nice thread about the road back from being uglied up.

If you own a telephone covered with camouflage tape, you might be a redneck!

this is something i have considered. Not sure about everyone else but I find working on my phones to be as fun as using and enjoying them after the fact.
