That's also a later version made perhaps by Standard Telephone and Cable, in England, I think. STC was also an offspring of Western Electric.  This is also an anti-sidetone instrument already. It may be a later variant of Arwin's 2724.

  Just an newbies idea .....  Did you check if the line cord on your 1500 is wired correctly ?
Never met a phone I didn't like !

Thanks Doug, English French and Spanish. Suggest it was made for export. So it could still be several Standard Electric producers, but BTMC is my guess. I have seen BTMC phones with multi lingual diagrams, including Spanish.

Dag, this is the wall version of the type 2712, metal desk phone from 1927 (or there abouts).
