Listed about a half hour ago in a 5 day auction is an early 1951 green plastic 302 starting at $49.99 with no reserve. A similar 302, in not quite as good of condition, sold for $213 in Auction Contest #109 last December. This is a 5 day auction so everyone has just under 4 days from now to take a guess.

The seller listed it as an "MINT ATT BELL WESTERN ELECTRIC GREEN 302 ROTARY VINTAGE PHONE TELEPHONE 1951" with the item condition as "Used" and "NEAR PERFECT AND LOOKS UNUSED. PHONE HAS BEEN TESTED AND RINGS, DIALS OUT, AND RECEIVES CALLS." with the auction listing description as "YOU ARE BIDDING ON A SUPER NICE VINTAGE BELL WESTERN ELECTRIC GREEN PLASTIC TENITE MODEL 302 ROTARY DIAL TELEPHONE.   THIS IS AN AMAZING FIND THAT LOOKS NEAR PERFECT AND UNUSED.  EVEN THE CONNECTION SPADES HAVE NO INDICATION THAT THEY HAVE EVER BEEN CONNECTED.  THIS WAS FOUND IN AN OLDER HOME STORED IN A BOX IN A GUEST BEDROOM.  IF IT IS NOT NOS THEN ITS THE CLOSEST TO IT!  BEAUTIFUL.  THIS AMAZING PHONE DIALS OUT, RECEIVES CALLS AND RINGS.  I FULLY TESTED THE FUNCTION OF THE PHONE, HOWEVER, I DID NOT INSTALL AN ADAPTER ON THE ENDS OF THE PERFECT SPADES FOR COLLECTION REASONS.  IF YOU ARE NOT A COLLECTOR AND BUY THIS PHONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL CONNECT AN ADAPTER SO YOU CAN PLUG IT IN AND USE IT.  PHONE BODY DATED 1/1951; CASE TENITE DATED 1/6/1951; DIAL 5H DATED 1/1951; EAR PIECE DATED 4/13/1950; MOUTH PIECE DATED 5/1953; BELL DATED 1/1951; COIL DATED 101A 1/1951.  PHONES ARE TESTED PRIOR TO LISTING AND AGAIN BEFORE SHIPPING."

NOTE: we will use a 4% gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, guess gaps of 8+% can be split. I'll help with these as the auction goes forward and guesses are entered.

It's another chance to move up a rung or to get onto the CRPF -> Contest Standings <- list for as twocvbloke said,    - - - >  "You gotta be in it to win it ! ! !". . .   ;D "

New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

I've both bought and sold from this seller. Great guy. He lives near where I work so we skip the shipping.

Not gonna guess because I'm the current high bidder.

Here's the final 4% "no crowding" gap spreadsheet for this contest with 13 guesses.

I think we got the final selling price covered, I think . . .  ???
