I'm starting to think I started a trend..

I think you did. And I'm one who loves jumping on bandwagons. The teletrainer seems like a fun item that's not all that expensive and would even be fun to work on.

That's correct, cheep and easy/fun to repair, if needed.

saw one on ebay recently.

Hopefully the price doesn't skyrocket.

And I'd like everybody to know that I had teletrainers before they were cool.

I had bids in on this one.. Alas, outbid by someone further down in the thread. Can't go that high with shipping alone costing $77 to Canada. Enjoy it! Been looking for an affordable WE one for a little over two years for the museum as announced back then. Let me know if you see another....

Yep, the price is moving on up. So much for getting one for $20.  If you search completed auctions on eBay you'll see that they had been selling for around $20. Now that they've been discovered by the forum members who knows what the one listed will end at.

The seller of the one listed says the unit has a ringing problem. But as been said half of the fun in owning one is troubleshooting and fixing a problem like that.

Did you get the teletrainer? I was outbid by you, but it looks as though someone else outbid both of us. Then you outbid me today on 191142833208 - looks like you got that one.

I just couldn't counter the bid, as the shipping to here was over $70...

So much for Teletrainers selling for $20!

Hopefully I will find an affordable one for the museum yet.

Guilty on both counts. I love the big logos on the unit and it's case.
