This is my WE metal box...can't remember the model right now.
Anyway, I had to do a few mods to get it to be a telephone.
A new hook switch, a few extra wires, and a coil.
So, it works well, but since I do not have an automatic CB CO to answer a call, I opted to make it a LB phone.
It rings, answers, and talks. But cannot call out...
So, I got a magneto, built a box for it, and a back board.
Put it all together, and this is what I came up with.
I think it looks pretty darn cool. ;D

Interesting. Nice work. Whatever it takes to get them working, that's half the fun! The other half is finding them!

Thanks Harry. it really is a labor of love.
I need to have my phones in working order, so I can use them.
And I can't afford the shiny ones, so they all need a little tlc.
This one was fun.
The first one I had to do so much just to get it to work.
I think it was originally an intercom, as it was missing a coil, and the hook switch was an SPST.
The wood was fun too. A carpenter, I am not, but it turned out good.
Almost reminds me of a small payphone. lol. ;D
Can't wait to get it hung on the wall...somewhere...lol. gotta make some room for it.

I like it. Update with the model # please when you get a free moment. I have seen something similar and am wondering if it is the same.  :)
