I'm sure this has been discussed many times before. What is the "most correct" handset for this type of 302?
I thought the F1 handset and its mounting were designed together as an integrated design.

The ealry small plunger sets used E or F  handsets. It depended on the set, There were several variations
Here is a chart from Hal Belden that shows the components on early small plunger sets.

I have seen a 1936 F handset that came apart more like an E.
I think Bell was still working out design details at that time.
