Title: Red S-C 1543 sold on eBay
Post by: baldopeacock on March 25, 2010, 10:54:53 AM
Did anyone here end up with this nice red 1543?  Ended yesterday evening.

This phone looked to be an easy project and a good looking S-C.

I did see that auction and never went back to it.  That looks like a great phone with one of those very heavy Bakelite handsets.  One doesn't see them too often.

Boy it sure is tempting to get one of those, but we all know how "get one" goes.
I recently read a thread where it shows some other SC1543's with rounded fronts, are they one and the same phones ?
Seems odd to number two very different phones the same number.

I like those cut-corners on this version.   Otherwise it would just look like a WE500 wannabe.

That seller, qaz-trader, often has some nice stuff.  He had the new plastics for 554s last year that I should have bought, a nice aqua set would have been sweet and I think he only wanted some silly low price like 15 dollars BIN.

I saw this phone as well but did not grab, it's a good deal but that's another line to collect. :'(
