Title: W.E. #144 Marked Receiver
Post by: wds on September 19, 2015, 05:26:09 PM
Along with the scissor phone I got two of these marked receivers with Western Electric marked on the end.  Judging from the smell when I cleaned them, they are hard rubber.  Has anyone seen a 144 marked like this before?  Approx date of the receiver?

Hmm, the last patent date is APR 16, 1918.  It involved some improvement of constructing the coil.
But this is the same patent date as on those that only print the dates directly, in fact all three are the same patents.

Yes, that's what I meant.
I believe my picture shows what is commonly found on the 144.
