Using a 5H dial on a candlestick

I was reading an older post by DJTownsend who was trying to use a 5H dial in a WE candlestick.
It can be done if the R & BB terminals (H dial)  are strapped together. This makes them act like the R terminal on an 2A dial. Connect wires to H dial like you would on a 2A dial. R & BB are the two moving contacts on the 4H & 5H dials. BB is the moving contact on a 2A dial. At rest it contacts W, while dialing it contacts BK.  BK & Y are the pulsing contacts on both types of dials.
It took me a while to think about this. I saw this factory set up in one of my metal "Hotel" wall sets that was refurbed in the 40's.
