I was so pleased at how well the Kellogg turned out, that I decided to tackle a Stromberg Carlson candlestick.  Best I can tell, this phone is from around 1910, and is set up for local battery use.  The metal needed painting, but the nickle plating is actually in pretty good shape.  I'm especially intrigued by the receiver - it's a Dean Electric Telephone earpiece.  Dean only made phones from 1903 - 1916, when he was acquired by Stromberg Carlson.  The receiver is all metal, not bakelite, and works great, as does the original transmitter.  Although I think I would prefer a matching SC receiver, the dating and history of the Dean receiver I think makes this pair a pretty good match.   Before and after pictures.
