Hello Everyone,

In my youth there was a green WE 500 in our entryway of our 1970s cookie cutter house. I still remeber this phone today and forgot what happend to it, I have a memory of it there then not. I was able to find same color on ebay and purchased it along with this speakerphone that I provided as a link. Its model # 760A and I wanted to know how it is wired into a 500 phone. Has anyone done this?

You need to collect a few more parts to have a complete working 3A speakerphone.

Start by reading BSP 512-620-100 and 512-620-400 - copies are in the TCI Library.

Search for "512-620-"

OK I read the documents and realize I need a 666A transmitter and a 55A control Module? but there were no pictures/Diagrams showing how these hook to a 500 Set. It was not clear on what sets were needed either. Just said "Telephone Set". Do these hook up to 500s?

Good start.   ;D

Continue your reading with 512-620-410 I3, which is found as item 5 on the list created by the Library search link above.

Many sets could be hooked up to the 3A speakerphone.  Note the requirements in section 3.01 of 512-620-100, issue 7.

How to do it is in the "Connections" BSPs (ref 3.02 (08)).  If you look in the BSP index for division 512, you'll find a list of Connection BSPs.  Note that the list changed from time to time, so consulting multiple index issues may be needed to find all the choices.

The typical 500-series single line set used is the 500S.  Additional internal components are needed to control the speakerphone, so a standard 500 won't work without modification.  Details for the 500S are found in BSPs in the 502 division.  (Search for 500S or look in the index for division 502.)

Division index issues are found by searching for their 9-digit number -- the division number followed by -000-000.
