New forum members are very welcome and encouraged to take a guess. After all, there are no wrong guesses, just one lucky one. No one knows the winning bid on any auction until it ends. However, it is important to get your guess in before someone else grabs your guess.

Listed about three hours ago in a 7 day auction with no reserve and starting at $79.99 ( with thanks to david@london for the listing tip ) is a sharp looking and very clean soft plastic blue WE 500 with fat grey coiled handset cord. The seller provided a good array of external pictures showing a phone in very good condition. Since being listed, the phone received 3 bids from 3 buyers raising the price to $85. I'm sure it will go higher so the question once more is who best knows what the phone will sell for when the auction ends?

NOTE:  We will use a $5 gap rule between guesses to prevent crowding. As such, keep your guess at least $5 away from prior guesses for this contest. All guesses, original and a single allowed revised guess if needed, must be submitted at least 24 hours before the auction ends.

The seller listed it as an "Vintage Western Electric Rotary Desk Telephone Bell System 500 Phone rare Blue" with the item condition as "Used" and " - - - " and with the auction listing description saying simply "nice clean bell Western Pacific 500 Beautiful collector's piece Comes with super nice cords very little wear great shape rotary dial works perfectly."

The price on med blue 500s has been down this year, but the nice photos and being in this contest will help it. I think it will hit $400 but that is taken so $360 please.
