Today was the first Sunday our Flea market was open this year. Jan was there at the crack of dawn, not many phones though, she got amazing D1 with 4H and 634 tyat works. Another iffy D1 with a 4H and a manual D1 in really nice shape with a 5 bar attached.

This is really cool, mottle brown and looks brand new, just an amazing shine to it. I don't dare plug it it, cosmetically its a 10....Doug

Hey Chuck...I was always told an expert should be the one as it could pop a cap. I am amazed at how perfect it looks...Doug

Yes, a dim bulb circuit is a minimum and a variac on an isolation transformer to ramp up voltage is best at preventing damage to the radio, blown circuits and in the worst case, a fire.

There are more things that could be wrong that a bad cap.

But, still, a very nice looking radio. Do you have the model number or chassis number on it?
