I asked seller to take a pic of the inside, but he already had it boxed.  >:(

Sure looks like a Blue 302 base  :'(

I missed it as we had a Mother's Day party

thanks David....I read it but it looks like the real deal. He would have done much better painting them both the color of the base...Doug

Looks like it may be BLUE plastic to me but, the wrong shade puzzles me. So maybe not original or maybe really faded?
It also seems strange if someone was to paint it why wouldn't they paint both pieces the same shade of blue
and both glossy like the handset suggests? Only the buyer will know.
I thought about bidding on it but, knowing how hard a blue anything is to find I thought it be just a waste of money and end up stashed in a box for eons.

Zoom in. Blemishes, thick pearlescent blue, and a really rough looking paint job.
The seller quite rightly declared the painted finish.

Never did understand some people's impulse to spray paint phones....or make lamps out of them for that matter.
