Well I was holding my GTE MODEL 80 while taking the base screws out and, CRACK!

A piece of Bakelite cracked off and fell to the floor! :O

I was able to glue it back with super glue. But with my OCD I want it to appear like it was never cracked.

How could I go about doing this?

It is a fairly large crack that is visible.

Phone was used by my great Grandparents who smoked, so the super glue took off some of the nicotine grime >:(

How can I make this baby shine again?

Check around the "Telephone Restoration Techniques" Board here:

Your phone is plastic, not bakelite.

This topic covers plastic repair but there are lots more discussions on the forum about plastic repair.
