I found this buffer in my basement when looking for something else :-[   I forgot I had it. I don't think it was ever used. Is this something I could try on telephones? Any ideas or WAGs...thanks...Doug

That's the same orbital buffer I have, and many others so, and it works well with Novus 2 on the larger surfaces. I've also used it with Brasso on Bakelite but when I do that, I change the bonnets. Did a real nice job on my Bakelite brown radio cabinet. Saves the wrist.

In addition to hand polishing, I have worn out two of those Ryobi buffers.  I don't like the bonnet that ties.  It tends to come off.  I use the buffer on plastic and Bakelite.  Works great.  I have purchased replacement terry cloth (elastic) covers at WalMart.  Just hold on tight to the item being polished.  I've splattered a lot of polish with one of these buffers.
