This is in really great shape. No fading and all dates are 5 66.

This is new territory for me but I do love the color.

No rusting on the bottom which I usually see with gases from the feet.

Any opinions or info is greatly appreciated......Doug

A true phone collector.. Collects phone's.
They don't discriminate, Rotary or Tone.
But they get what appeals to them, that's a collector.

Well if you don't want it in your collection........ It would look good along side my green touch tone in my collection!  :)

ome info on 1500/2500 sets
some of the early 1500/2500 sets are polarity sensitive for dialing. just swap L1 and L2

Early 1500/2500 sets had back painted faceplates. Either dark gray or color matching. these have lines on them, I prefer the look of the early faceplates.
Later ones had a matching texture faceplate.
some backpainted faceplates were front painted with texture and got recycled onto refurbished sets.
here are probably other variations on the faceplates.
You live, You learn,
You die, you forget it all.

I was only lamenting that with no room to display any new phones I have branched out into TT phones.

No disrespect intended to "true phone collectors" ...Doug

All you have to do is put an addition on the house so you can start collecting 1500s & 2500s Doug. Or you could sell it to me😀

Here is its older brother. 11-64.  Has some yellowing, though.

Gary...Janet is more than understanding. That understanding would end quickly if I tried to branch out of my room.

Doug, I sympathise - our 'spare room' has become my man-cave/telephone room, and Top Management (AKA The Wife) has made it pretty clear that my 'stuff' should not be branching out of that space. I fully understand this, as left to my own devices the whole house would soon be swamped (I'm weak that way ::)).

Tubaman...happy wife....happy life.

I am more than happy with my Phone Room with a few sprinkled throughout the house with her blessing....Doug
